SUMMARY CARE RECORDS
Summary Care Records (SCR) is a new NHS Computer System. It is a record which has information about the medication you take, any allergies you may suffer from and any bad reactions relating to medication you have had previously.
THE PURPOSE OF YOUR SUMMARY CARE RECORD
Having access to your information will make it easier should you need to be treated in an emergency or when you’re GP Practice is closed. Having access to this information could make a difference regarding your care.
Only healthcare staff can see this information.
It is not compulsory to join and should you wish to opt out of this scheme then you will need to complete a form.
