NHS referrals for these conditions have very long waiting lists. Children should be referred by their school.
Adults can be referred via the right to choose pathway -The process is detailed below
Due to the number of these requests received it can take up to 3 weeks for our part to be processed.
Referral under the Right to Choose Legislation
To be referred for an Autism or ADHD assessment under the NHS Right to Choose legislation, patients must initiate the process.
‘Right to Choose’ means the patient selects the clinic they would like to be assessed by.
Once the patient has selected a clinic, they must then follow the instructions on how they initiate the referral. There is usually paperwork to fill in.
The GP Surgery should then need to fill in some other paperwork and send off the referral for the patient. (It varies between clinics)
** Please note that we do not enter into shared care agreements for medication from these clinics, any medication prescribed must be monitored and supplied by the clinic.
